The project is to increase the resource base of KMG by geologic exploration at the Turgai Paleozoic site in order to discover raw hydrocarbons during the exploration period under Exploration and Production Contract No. 4958-УВС-МЭ dd 24 Aug 2021. The site area is 5,679.95 km2.

Prospective targets PZ-1, PZ-2, PZ-3 were identified based on high-resolution 3D seismic data from the Akshabulak field and from lower-resolution 3D seismic data.

The PZ-1 exploratory well is planned to be drilled between 2022 and 2024 with a depth of 5,500m. Previously no wells of similar depth have been drilled in this region. The project will be implemented by a professional team of KMG geologists.
