KMG Published the 2024 Sustainability Report

NC “KazMunayGas” JSC (KMG) annually publishes the Sustainability Report, which serves as the Company’s communication to all stakeholders on KMG’s progress in implementing the principles of the United Nations Global Compact and achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals.

In May of this year, KMG’s Board of Directors approved the verified 2024 Sustainability Report. The Report was prepared in accordance with the international GRI Reporting Standards 2021 for sustainability reporting, which ensure the disclosure of the Company’s impacts on the economy, environment, and society. The Report was reviewed for accuracy by the GRI Materiality Disclosure Services (Content Index – Advanced Service). To enhance stakeholder trust, the Report was assured by an external auditing company.

The Report’s concept, “INVESTING IN THE FUTURE”, reflects the Company’s strategy for ensuring long-term growth and adapting to modern challenges through leadership in the sustainable development of the country’s energy sector. The Report discloses key economic, environmental, and social performance indicators for the period from 2022 to 2024 and includes information on significant sustainability aspects such as air and water resource protection, industrial safety and labor protection, environmental conservation, personnel development, and engagement with local communities.

Annual feedback collection on the Sustainability Report, along with consideration of stakeholder interests, is important for improving the content and structure of the Report and increasing awareness. This practice helps the Company better align with the expectations and interests of different groups and raise awareness among employees and other stakeholders about KMG’s sustainability efforts.
