Atyrau Refinery Successfully Completes Preventive Maintenance

24.07.2026

Following the preventive maintenance (PM), the Atyrau Refinery (AR) has reached the operational mode.

The first oil was received on 8 July this year. The phased commissioning of the process units began 1.5 days ahead of the RK Ministry of Energy's schedule.

Today, the plant refines 16.2 Kt of oil per day. Since the resumption of production processes, 157 Kt of feedstock have been processed. Since the process units reached the operational mode, the following volumes have been shipped:

·         motor gasoline – 35.3 Kt,

·         diesel fuel – 48.7 Kt,

·         liquefied petroleum gas – 5.7 Kt.

Fuel is being supplied without delays.

It is worth reminding that during the PM at the AR, mandatory technical inspections were carried out for 20 reactors, 213 vessels, 32 columns, and 231 units of heat‑exchange equipment; and individual pipeline sections were replaced. More than 335 tonnes of catalysts were renewed at a number of process units. To increase the production volume of light petroleum products – gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel – the internal components of the vacuum distillation unit were replaced at the CDU-VDU-3 unit.

Approximately 1,700 specialists and more than 50 units of special-purpose equipment were involved in the operations.
