How KazMunayGas's Program Opens New Opportunities for the Youth of Mangistau

Since 2022, more than 1,400 teenagers from the Mangistau region have participated in the Zharkyn Bolashak educational program.

The program covers high school students from Zhanaozen and five districts of the Mangistau region. Its goal is to support young people at different stages of their educational journey: from choosing a profession to adapting to a new educational and professional environment. KMG's support includes tuition fees, accommodation, transportation costs, an increased scholarship, and meals.

Aisu Izbanova is a native of the village of Munaishy, Karakiyansky district, Mangistau region. She is currently a second-year student at the Kostanay Higher Medical College, majoring in Nursing.

“The Zharkyn Bolashak program gave me the opportunity to get a quality education and show what I can do in a new environment,” says Aisu.

Another program participant, Dias Kydyrkozhauly, from the village of Sazdy, Mangystau region, chose the profession of a teacher.

“I chose the profession of a teacher by avocation. For me, every student is an individual, so I consider it my main task to spark children's interest in learning. During my studies, I am mastering modern teaching methods and strive to make every session in my teaching practice engaging and effective,” says Dias.

The highest score on the Unified National Test was 131 points. It was shown by Ulmeken Kemezhanova, who studied in grades 10–11 at 125 High School. She achieved a high score in the Biology–Chemistry subject combination.

It should be noted that graduates from previous program cohorts continue their studies in various fields: pedagogy, natural sciences, mathematics and statistics, medicine and dentistry, information technology, electrical engineering and automation, logistics, architecture, urban planning, construction, and air transport.

By implementing this project, KazMunayGas continues to build an effective social mobility pathway for children in the Mangistau region, providing them with access to quality education and opening up opportunities for professional and personal development.
