КМГ and Turkish Petroleum Corporation discuss cooperation prospects

The Chair of the Management Board of NC KazMunayGas JSC (KMG) Askhat Khassenov met with the CEO of the Turkish state-run company Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) Ahmet Türkoğlu.

The parties looked into the potential of cooperation in geologic exploration, transportation and other areas of the oil and gas sector with a focus on attraction of investment, implementation of the state-of-the-art technology, exchange of experience. and promotion of environmentally sustainable solutions. In particular, currently, the working groups of KMG and TPAO are conducting the analysis of the possible joint initiatives on geologic exploration prospects in Kazakhstan.

As A. Khassenov noted, within the framework of the strategic course of the Head of State towards deepening the relations with Türkiye, KazMunayGas attaches particular importance to strengthening contacts with the top energy companies of this country.

The head of KMG expressed his confidence that expansion of the mutually beneficial cooperation with ТРАО will give additional impetus to the development of the Kazakh-Turkish economic partnership.
