President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Receives Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”

The Head of State has been apprised of the petrochemical projects implemented by KazMunayGas. Currently, commissioning is being finalised at the polypropylene plant in Atyrau region. The plant is expected to be launched this August. Furthermore, the President has been made aware of the implementation status of the polyethylene and butadiene production projects.

Mr. Mirzagaliyev has reported on the current status and development outlook of Ozenmunaigas JSC and the efforts being made to maintain social stability in Mangistau region. According to him, a representative office of the national company has been established in Aktau with the mission to address the issues of social and labour relations and receive communications from individuals and legal entities regarding the activities of KazMunayGas’ subsidiaries. In addition, a project is being implemented to improve the quality of education for children in Zhanaozen, and a schoolchildren palace and sports grounds are now under construction.

The CEO of KazMunayGas has also reported on the prospects for development of the company’s foreign assets.

Following the meeting, the Head of State has issued a number of instructions to implement investment projects in a timely manner and continue efforts to maintain social stability.
