Erik Sagiyev Appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of KazMunayGas NC JSC

Erik Sagiyev has been appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of KazMunayGas NC JSC while continuing to serve as Chief Executive Officer of KMG International N.V.

E. Sagiyev holds a degree in Technological Machinery and Equipment from West Kazakhstan Innovation Technology University and a law degree from M. Narikbayev Kazakh Humanitarian Law University.

Over the course of his career, he worked at Bonatti S.p.A., Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V., Intergazstroy and the Saryarka Association of Entrepreneurs of Astana.

From 2022 to 2024, he served as Deputy General Director for Oil Transportation at KazTransOil JSC.

From 2024 to 2025, he served as Chief Operating Officer of KMG International N.V.

He has served as Chief Executive Officer of KMG International N.V. (Rompetrol) since April 2025.

In his new role, E. Sagiyev will be responsible for KMG oil transportation business and international assets.

Bulat Zakirov, who previously held the position, has resigned. Askhat Khassenov, Chief Executive Officer of KazMunayGas NC JSC, thanked B. Zakirov for his dedicated service and significant contribution to the development of the national company.
