On May 25, 2016 JSC NC "KazMunayGas" and CITIC GROUP Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate on water treatment.

In accordance with the terms of the Memorandum, JSC NC "KazMunayGas" and CITIC GROUP Corporation seek to expand cooperation in the future, including treatment at oil-fields or circulating water disposal, water conversion, and in other branches as well for the benefits of all parties and for joint development.
