KazMunayGas Signs a Cooperation Agreement with Petropavlovsk Plant of Heavy Machine Building

On 21 February 2020, National Company “KazMunayGas” (KMG) signed a cooperation agreement with Petropavlovsk Plant of Heavy Machine Building (PZTM). The agreement aims at implementation of the Strategic Partnership Agreement between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and PZTM by organizing supplies of trucks and special equipment for KMG’s subsidiaries.

Thus, in the framework of this event, KMG’s subsidiary Oil Services Company LLC signed a long-term contract with PZTM for supply of special equipment.

KazMunayGas regards support for national producers and increase of local content in purchases as a priority task. In accordance with the contract, PZTM will supply to Oil Services Company special equipment for maintenance and repair of wells.

The documents were signed in the framework of the Procurement Category Strategy approved by the resolution of the Management Board of Samruk-Kazyna. The Strategy is aimed at supporting national producers, including PZMT. One of the approaches of the Strategy is to enter into strategic agreements with Kazakhstan enterprises.

PZTM is among Kazakhstan’s largest producers of equipment for the oil-and-gas producing, oil-and-gas processing, petrochemical, chemical, gas, power, and other industries. The plant is one of the systemic companies in the city of Petropavlovsk.
