Kazbek Kussainov was born on March 24, 1981.


Education:

He graduated from the University of International Business with a degree in Economics. He graduated from the Kazakh National Technical University with a degree in Mining and Petroleum Engineering. He received an Executive MBA degree from the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo.

Work experience:

He started his career in 2000 as a specialist in the administrative department of NCTN KazTransOil JSC.

From 2002-2003, he worked as the Chief Specialist of the Asset Management Department of JSC NC KazMunayGas.

From 2003 to 2005, he was the Chief Manager of the Asset Management Department of KazTransGas JSC, then he was appointed Deputy Director of Asset Management.

From 2005-2021, he worked as the First Deputy General Director of M&SE LLP.

From 2010-2011, Member of the Board of Directors (Independent Director) JSC NPF Otan.

From 2010-2013, Member of the Board of Directors (Independent Director) JSC IO "Kazakhstan Mortgage Company".

From 2014-2017, he was elected a member of the Board of Directors (Independent Director) Optima Bank OJSC.

From 2016 to 2020, he held the position of Vice-President of the NGO "Kazakhstan Chess Federation".

From 2020-2022, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Bugin Holding LLP.

From 2023-2025, he was a member of the Board of Directors (Independent Director) KazTransOil JSC.

Since April, 2025, he has been appointed Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas.
