Employment Record:

Philip gained extensive experience in managing major oil and gas projects whilst he was employed by the Bechtel Corporation working in countries including: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Nigeria, India Kazakhstan and Australia. Following his employment by the Bechtel Corporation, Philip held the position of Executive Vice President Downstream Projects for Shell Global Solutions. In that role he was responsible for a portfolio of projects globally with an annual capital expenditure of US$15 billion in locations such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Australia, Nigeria, Singapore, China, Qatar, India, Canada and the USA. In 2010 he was appointed Project Director of the Kashagan Phase 2 Project in Kazakhstan and in 2011 was appointed Project Director for the Shell\Qatar Petroleum Al-Karaana Petrochemical Project in Qatar.

Previously Philip was a Non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Enquest plc, from August 2015 until June 2022, where he Chaired the Safety and Risk Committee, and a Non-Executive Director of Velocys plc where was Chairman of the Board from 2019 until February 2024.
