KMG’s CEO Holds Meeting with Senior Vice President of PETRONAS

On 7 July, Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC “KazMunayGas”, met with Bacho Pilong, Senior Vice President of PETRONAS, Malaysia’s oil and gas company, and Mohamed Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib, Vice Chancellor / Chief Executive Officer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Gulzada Shakulikova, Chairwoman of the Management Board / Rector of S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas, took part in the negotiations as well.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral long-term cooperation in the oil and gas sector.

In addition, during the meeting, UTP’s representatives told about their industry-specific engineering, research and technological programmes and the training of professionals in these disciplines.

In turn, Ms. Shakulikova noted the strategic partnership between the universities and shared the plans to open a UTP branch on the basis of S. Utebayev AUOG.
