Well-to-gas nozzle way. Kazakhstani oil workers have expanded sales geography of the domestic “black gold” /Svetlana Antoncheva/
80 mln tons a year (4 times more than at the moment the Republic became independent) – these are the current results of the domestic oil production. Our country is in the top decile of the key countries around the world on reserves of hydrocarbons and occupies the second place (after Russia) in CIS. Kazakhstan is also a major player in sales market, since due to the limited domestic consumption (no more than 25%) a bigger portion of “black gold” goes naturally for export. According to the estimates, in 10 years the volumes of oil “for export” will gain 120–140 mln. tons! Where can we “find” the required direct transportation routes to secure maximum benefit to ourselves and qualified end products to consumers? One of the key directions for exploration within “expansion” of energy sales horizon is EU. It should be noted that JSC NC “KazMunayGas” “drilled” “window to Europe” the very same day three years ago having acquired such a strategic asset as Romanian “The RomPetrol Group N.V.”
