Atyrau Polyethylene Pipe Plant held a Ceremony of Starting a Production Run of Reinforced-plastic Pipes, Which are Second to None in Kazakhstan
On February 15, 2011 at the Atyrau Polyethylene Pipe Plant (APPP), owned by “Chevron”, there was a ceremony of starting a production of compositive reinforced-plastic pipes, used in heating and hot water supply systems. Expansion of the Plant capacity and commissioning of technically advanced manufacturing, which has no analogues in Kazakhstan and CIS countries, is part of a program to reinvest the part of Chevron’s profit in Kazakhstan.

Daniyar Amirbayevich Berlibayev – born in 1968 in the Zhambyl oblast, prior to his appointment held the position of General Director of JSC “KazMunayGas – Refining & Marketing”.

Pursuant to resolution of the Management Board of JSC NC "KazMunayGas",the new General Director Zhanat Tusupbekov has been introduced today to the team of JSC "KazMunayGas – Refining & Marketing” by K.M.Kabyldin,the Chief Executive Officer of the Nat.Com.
Prior to the appointment as General Director of JSC “KazMunayGas – Refining & Marketing”, Zh. Tusupbekov performed the duties of General Director of JSC “KazMunayGas Onimderi”.  Zhanat Tusupbekov has worked in the oil and gas industry since 2005, over a period of a few years has held the posts of Executive Director, Deputy General Director for Retail Sales of JSC “Trade House KazMunaiGaz”.

JSC NC “KazMunayGas” (KMG) jointly with Association of Legal Entities “Union of Machine-Builders of Kazakhstan” held a meeting with participation of the representative of the RoK Ministry of Oil and Gas, RoK Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, subsidiaries of JSC “NWF “Samruk-Kazyna”, machine machine-manufacturing companies and the operators of the major oil and gas projects (LLP JV “Tengizchevroil”, NCOC and KPO B.V.) on the matter of the development of the Kazakhstani content in the major oil and gas projects on 2 February this year in Astana.

KMG EP announces operating results for 2010
Astana, 11 January 2011. JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (“KMG EP” or “the
Company”), announced today that in the full year ended 31 December 2010 it produced 13,285 thousand tonnes of crude oil (270kbopd), which includes the Company’s stakes in Kazgermunai LLP, CCEL (“Karazhanbasmunai”) and PetroKazakhstan Inc. This is 1,788 thousand tonnes, or 16% more than in 2009. The increase in production mainly results from the acquisition of 33% stake in PetroKazakhstan Inc. in December 2009. Production plans for 2010 were outperformed by all associated companies and production facilities except Uzenmunaigas.

National Company “KazMunayGas” announced the successful resumption of the installation activities on the Petromidia platform after completion of the scheduled overhaul on November 1st. The total level of investments performed during the overhaul (September 20 – November 1) amounted to over 43 million USD.

Final Investment Decision on the Caspian Pipeline Consortium Expansion Project Made
The Final Investment Decision on the mechanical capacity of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) pipeline system up to 67 mn tons annually was made in Moscow today. The Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Shmatko and Deputy Minister of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan Lyazzat Kiinov, the representatives of the national companies “Transneft” and “KazMunayGas”, and General Director of CPC have countersigned the documents starting the works on the increasing of the system's capacity, agreed by the shareholders of the consortium.
