KMG EP appoints new Chief Executive Officer

Astana, 23 January 2013. JSC "KMG EP" ("KMG EP" or the "Company") announces that Abat Nurseitov has been appointed the General Director (CEO) by the Board of Directors. Abat Nurseitov previously worked as the Deputy General Director for Production. He has succeeded Alik Aidarbayev who resigned due to his appointment as Akim of Mangistau region.

KMG EP announces operating results for the full year of 2012

JSC KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (“KMG EP” or “the Company”) announces that in 2012 it produced 12,191 thousand tonnes of crude oil (247 kbopd), including the Company’s stakes in Kazgermunai (KGM), CCEL and PetroKazakhstan Inc. (PKI) which is 150 thousand tonnes or 1% less than in 2011.

The house built by POCR

The opening ceremony of the first housing estate for POCR JSC workers was held on the eve of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Building owner and source of financing is Pavlodar oil chemistry refinery. The house is built in Ussolskiy microdistrict on Tkachev street, 18.

Health Train – for the population of Mangistau

On October 29 at 9 a.m. the Zhardem Medical Train arrived at Zhanaozen for the purpose of diagnostics and treatment of the local population. The campaign was organized by JSC NC “KazMunayGas” jointly with the akimat of the Mangistau oblast.

The annual Republican Contest of Ideas “Innovative Kazakhstan 2012” was launched on September19th, 2012.

The Contest aims to support Kazakh innovators and assist them in implementing their ideas. “SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUND “SAMRUK-KAZYNA” JSC, organizer of the Contest, has suggested over 140 technological tasks to be solved by inventors.

JSC NC "KazMunayGas" (KMG) has been among the first to start working on the implementation of a multi-level project for restructuring the Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development (SRSD) management processes

The project has been initiated by JSC NC "KazMunayGas" within the framework of implementing the strategic initiative of the group of companies taking into account the growing expectations of the community regarding improvement in the quality of management of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development (SRSD) in the RoK's national companies. The purpose is to deploy the integrated management system based on the modern international standards.

Rompetrol Bulgaria, to open 10 new stations in the next 2 months
The Rompetrol Group, via Rompetrol Bulgaria, will open by the end of April 10, new gas-stations in Bulgaria. Thus, the national network operated by Rompetrol Bulgaria will reach 70. At the same time, the company reported a growing interest from the white stations owner to join the Rompetrol network.

A new wave of investment and business activity in Atyrau
The annual Atyrau Oil and Gas exhibition, held on 3-5 April 2012, will have almost twice as must exhibition space as the previous year’s event, as this year the exhibition will be held in an exhibition pavilion temporarily erected by Iteca at the Atyrau Sports Complex. The event is again being organised by the Kazakhstan exhibition company Iteca and its British and German partners.
