KazMunayGas raises up leaders

On September 21-23, 2015, the first “Situational Leadership” workshop for succession candidates was held in Astana under the approved individual development plans of the succession candidates of the JSC NC “KazMunayGas” group of companies.

The Situational Leadership workshop is aimed at development of skills for understanding and diagnostics of organizing, delegating and managing the changes as well as development of leadership skills and enhancement of employees’ motivation.

During the training, special solution business-cases and a lot of role plays were demonstrated to the participants for consolidation of theoretical knowledge.

The workshop was conducted by Onchukov Alexei Borisovich - business coach of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering and Information Technologies of “KBTU” JSC, with extensive experience in organizing and conducting coaching, trainings, workshops and seminars. Onchukov A.B. is the author of numerous training sessions on the following topics: “Formation and development of management business team”, “Management team in the process of formation and development of the corporate culture”, “Secrets of leadership behavior”, “Leadership behavior of the manager: basis of the effective performance”, “Effective influence - practical course for managers” etc.

This year 13 training workshops, aimed at development of personal and business skills of the participants, are scheduled for succession candidates of the KMG group of companies.

It should be noted that apart from Kazakhstan’s business-trainers, Aleksandr Muradyan and Yuriy Samalov, well-known business-trainers, were invited to conduct workshops.

Along with the training workshops, individual development plans for the succession candidates provide the two-diploma program training on Executive MBA in Oil and Gas specifically developed by “Kazakh-British Technical University” JSC given the particular characteristics of the oil and gas industry in RK. Since September 9 of the current year, training for the trainees of this group has begun under the МВА program.
