Zhambyl

Zhambyl field is located in the Northern Caspian, the distance from the centre to the coast is 60 km, to Atyrau port -180 km to the North-east, the square of the field is 1188 square kilometres.

The water depth in the field makes up 4-5 meters.

In 2006 NC «KazMunayGas» JSC is planning to:

• Finalize negotiations on the contact terms concerning exploration and sign the contract with the Ministry of Energy and mineral resources of RK
• Carry our gravimetric survey, electric exploration and seismic exploration 2D on Zhambyl field.
