The fields are characterized by complicated geological structure and unique oil properties, known for high paraffin content ( up to 29%) and pyrobitumen-tarry substances ( up to 20%) which are responsible for high freezing temperature (+32C).
The field reserves amount to approximately 75% of total proven reserves and predicted oil reserves . They include the following fields:
- Uzen field (oil and gas)
- Karamandybas (oil and gas)
- South Zhetibai field ( gas and gas condensate)
- Western Tenge field (gas and gas condensate)
- Aktas field (gas and gas condensate)
- Tasbulat field (gas and gas condensate)
- Eastern Uzen (gas)
