National Maritime Shipping Company KazMorTransFlot JSC

Joint-stock company “National Maritime Shipping Company “Kazmortransflot” (KMTF) was established by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan as of December 4, 1998.

See transportation of oil is carried by its own navy, consisting of six tankers of 12-13 tons and 13 units of the fleet to support maritime operations 5 tug and 8 barges that are used to transport rock for back filling to islands in Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea.

Activities

The main types of charter activities of “NMSC “Kazmortransflot” JSC are:

• transportation of all types of cargo, oil and oil products, general cargo, containers, passengers;
• construction, operation, maintenance, purchase of all types of vessels, barges, floating docks and the like, to provide mediation services;
• renting (chartering, including charter without crew), as well as leasing of vessels;
• construction, maintenance and purchase of all types of warehouses, storage, refrigeration units, unloading quays and other equipment;
• construction of a shipyard (ship repair bases), establishment of ship-repairing structure;
• agency service for ships;
• stevedoring and forwarding services.

The actual amount of transportation amounted to 7.1 million tons for 2010, the plan for 2011 amounts to 10.2 million tons.

Investment Projects

1. Construction/acquisition and exploitation of two “Aframax” type crude oil tankers on the Black, Mediterranean and Baltic Seas

Project goal: to expand geography of the Company through arrangement and implementation of tanker transportations of Kazakhstan hydrocarbons on the open seas, the Black, Baltic and the Mediterranean seas, through the construction/acquisition of “Aframax” type crude oil tankers.
Project implementation period: 2011
Project cost: 111 million USD

2. Construction/acquisition and operation of a new series of ships of the fleet to support maritime operations

Project goal: to implement continuous work on transporting the rock to the islands built in the Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea
Project implementation period: 2014.
Project cost: 55 million USD
