Integrated management system introduction

In compliance with the development strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and plan on rapid transition to International standards. The plan was approved by the decree of Prime –Minister of RK of March 6, 2001, N 28. There is an Integral control system in NC «KazMunayGas» JSC.

Quality management system , environment protection, health care and occupational safety policy is evidence of the Company’s striving for corporate management development, effective achievement of the objectives, implementation of the interrelated activities necessary to meet the customers’ requirements to the services provided, including subsidiaries’ management.

In March, 2006,»Intersertifica TUV» Ltd together with Turingen TUV confirmed the conformity of the implemented system to international standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.

In terms of the Integral control system, the following documentation procedures which describe and regulate the main processes in the activity of «KazMunayGas» were developed and maintained:

• integral control system ;
• mandatory procedures of integral control system (documents management regulations, internal audit, discrepancies, corrective and preventive actions) ;
• business and budget planning of KMG and its subsidiaries and dependent organizations;
• planning regulations and organization of purchase of products, work and services in KMG;
• documents, defining the management of oil assets and so on.

The resolution of the Management Board established Integral Control System Board - a collective entity defining the Company’s activity in the sphere of planning, formation, maintaining and improvement of the integral control system in NC «KazMunayGas» JSC.

The chairperson of KMG Management Board supervises the Integral control system board. It includes executives directors ( Management Board members), Director General of the authority ( Management Board member), general manager on regulatory support ( the Management Board member), Integral Control system representative – secretariat officer of Chair of the Management Board, Human resources department and Department of occupational and environmental safety.

Supervisory management of the integral control system of KMG is incumbent on the secretariat of the Management Board chairman.

In March 2009, NC «KazMunayGas» JSC confirmed the conformity of the integral control system to the new version of international standard ISO 9001; 2008, standards ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 for the following three years in TIC accreditation system.

The second recertification audit was held by «Intersertifica TUV together with TUV Turingen» Ltd.
