About National Welfare Fund «Samruk-Kazyna»

National Welfare Fund «Samruk-Kazyna» JSC was founded according to the Decree of the President of the RoK as of October 13, 2008 № 669 «Оn some measures on competitiveness and sustainability of national economy» and by the Resolution of the Government of the RoK as of October 17, 2008 № 962 «Оn measures on realization of the Decree of President of the RoK № 669» by merging two joint stock companies: Kazakhstan Holding for the Management of State Assets Samruk and Kazyna Sustainable Development Fund.

NWF «Samruk-Kazyna» was founded to encourage competitiveness and stability of the national economy and prevent any potential negative impact of changes in the world markets on the economical growth of the country.

The main objective of the Fund’s activity is to manage portfolios of shares (equity shares) of the national development institutions, national companies, and other legal entities for maximization their long-term value and competitiveness on the world markets.
